Why Recron® Green Fibre? The impact of climate change is being felt all over the world. And so is the need to change our attitude towards the environment. This has resulted in growing demand for green, environment-friendly products which will boost sustainability. The world of polyester fibres is not an exception. The demand for green fibres is growing everyday.

In India, with an economy on the boom and disposable income on the rise, the generation of packaging and consumer waste has grown manifold. But that type of waste is generally non-biodegradable and a potential environmental issue. Hence the need of the hour is recycling resulting in an eco-friendly fibre which is Recron® Green.
What is Recron® Green Fibre?
Recron® Green is a result of processing post consumer waste into new products to prevent wastage of potentially useful materials and resources. It also reduces the consumption of fresh raw materials, energy usage, air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from land filling) by reducing the need for “unconventional” waste disposal.

The result is lower green house emissions as compared to virgin polymer.

Even though made from recycled products, Recron® Green does not compromise on any of the qualities a polyester fibre must possess. The look, touch and feel of the fabrics, made from Recron® Green fibre, are as good as those of virgin polyester fibre.
Applications Recron® Green fibre can be used on its own as well as a blend with other natural fibres like cotton, viscose, wool, acrylic, etc. It finds applications in: Apparels - suiting, shirting & knits; Home Textiles - bedsheets, pillow covers, curtains, furnishings; Non-apparels - carrybags, tent, tarpaulin, awning, etc.
